Sarkodie will become the first African rapper to headline his own Concert at indigo at the O2 on Friday 11th March 2016.
The multiple BET winner and Mobo award nominee, who recently joined Fuse ODG on the last leg of his UK tour is one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance made popular by Fuse ODG internationally.
Sarkodie will be taking his brand to the next level as he has enlisted the support of UK’s most sought after live band, The Compozers to rock the crowd and UK’s Afrobeats Pioneer, Abrantee to host the event.
The audience are in for a mega treat with Sarkodie’s skilful 50-syllables-per-second flow, countless hits from a career spanning 15 years and a flux of surprise guest performers including his personal DJ Mensah to ensure a show-stopper.
This concert will surely establish Sarkodie as one of the worlds most iconic African artists.
Miss Teen Africa Beauty Pageant will be showcasing on Saturday 14th November 2015 at ‘The Old Town Hall’ 29 Broadway, Stratford, London, E15 4BQ.
The pageant is the first of its kind and it’s devoted to strengthen the voices and representation of the young African females around the world with a huge emphasis on charitable deeds.
The primary purpose is to provide a platform to promote social cohesion, the proliferation and continuation of culture, confidence, validity, gender equality, empowerment of women and social inclusion amongst young women of African heritage.
Miss Teen Africa Beauty Pageant contestants are young African women between the ages of 13 – 19 representing the 56 independent countries of Africa. The contestants will grace the stage in Evening wears, Choice of African attire symbolic of country of origin and Talent presentation.
MTV Base will be introducing a new interactive platform called “#BaseRateOrHate”. The initiative is set to give upcoming artists the chance to get their videos played on the biggest music channel in Africa.
The power is in the hands of members of the public though; they get to choose whose videos get played on MTV Base. The video with the highest number of votes will get played on MTV Base (DStv channel 322), which has an audience of over 90 million people across the continent.
“MTV Base has given a lot of Nigerian artistes a huge platform to grow and improve over the years and it makes us happy to continue in this tradition”, said Colette Otusheso, Head of Marketing and Communications, Nigeria at Viacom International Media Networks Africa in a statement.

Police were called to the popular Boujis nightclub on Sunday 25th October at 01:45am to breakup a fight outside the venue resulting in the arrest of seven people aged between 18 and 21. Subsequent CCTV footage showed there to be over 20 people involved in the large fight.
An 18 year old man was thrown head first into a car, causing a sizeable dent to the vehicle. The victim refused medical attention and only gave officers a brief statement before leaving the scene.
A hearing was held on Thursday 29th October by Kensington and Chelsea’s Licensing Committee with officers presenting evidence on the fight and details of 9 other reported serious crime and disorder incidences which have taken place at the club in the past 12 months.
Following the suspension the club will have the following conditions imposed pending a full hearing in 28days:
No persons under the age of 21 will be allowed into the club (it was previously 18)
The club can only stay open until 02:00hrs (it was previously 03:00)
If a person looks under the age of 25, they must produce ID to prove their age)

Former NBA basketball player and entrepreneur Michael Jordan is opening his first-ever sneaker store in his home town Chicago today.
In anticipation of the opening of the store fans have been queuing outside the Chicago store since Thursday following a tweet by Michael Jordan “No place like home. A look inside 32 South State, a retail experience with @footaction”
The store items specifically chosen by Michael will include his air jordan collection, merchandise including basketball, training, sportswear and a range of kids products.
There are future plans to open up stores in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto featuring Jordan.
With the deadline for the submission of Fifa presidential election nomination papers about 96 hours away, Nigeria has to make a decision regarding who its candidate will be.
